Does the secret compartment for the two revolvers belong to the standard configuration of a 1938 Plymouth? -- Last edit: 2008-08-30 12:31:44 |

Love Bogart's taste in cars. Roy Earle drives a 38 Plymouth coupe in High Sierra. |

This is my favorite Bogie and Bacall movie (their second together) and one of my all-time favorite movies!! The plot has you doing somersaults trying to figure out who killed who--and even the writers couldn't remember who killed the chauffer! Bacall is hot too!! Love this car they chose to have Marlow (Bogie) drive...it's the perfect 40's privae eye car. And of course the secret compartment for the guns...if we all could have that! -- Last edit: 2010-02-09 07:16:08 |

"Does the secret compartment for the two revolvers belong to the standard configuration of a 1938 Plymouth?" Nope - it was a $4.95 extra-cost option. |

Back in 1940, you would get almost 50 packs of Chesterfield cigarettes for that price... |
