I'm also unsure if Badger also existed with this cab?

Not being able to offer anything else...Any votes?

Looking at the wheelbase I think you might be right with Comet.

Well, let's face it, I just wanted to type Beaver!, really.

No recollection of any Badgers with that version of cab.

No Badgers found...

Comet and Comet '90' appears to be lighter applications
Beaver was the 'Heavy Duty' truck as advertised.
Both had platform and tractor units.

Little (nothing? to date) found in the CM archive for Road Tests & Technical Desc. in the 1950s before the LAD cab models.

1948 Comet introduced as a semi-forward control (n/c essentially) truck (mainly for export) as 6-7 tons
1951 Comet 90 replaced the Comet with 90hp engine.
1954 Comet 90 was 7-8 ton truck (n/c and f/c).
1949 Beaver was 12-ton truck with a 125hp engine.

Confirmation: Narrow wheelarch protrusion indicates Comet rather than Beaver.
