The wheels suggest Morris Commercial, but uncertain. Body provides no clue, anybody could have built it from the local undertaker outwards. |

Not enough detail for a good identification; I have tried about three times to get reasonable screen captures over the years from this movie, and each time erased them. However, like johnfromstaffs, without more to work on its a Morris-Commercial. I have convinced myself its most likely a 1-ton T-type. It looks unlikely to be an R-type 25cwt because of the shape of the scuttle area which looks to be flared rather than flat. The interior shots were a studio mock-up (Denham Studios Buckinghamshire) since Roger Livesey never actually fimed in Scotland for the movie. It was all done with a stand-in on long shots in Scotland or by back-projection in Denham. source: "I Know Where I'm Going Revisited" 1994 the 50th anniversary of the movie, ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ktmvk ).Roger Livesey was doing a play in London at the time of filming in 1944. The 'posh' cars in the thumbnails on the movie page I think are exterior shots of Denham Studios. I guess there was no good registration number visible for the bus? -- Last edit: 2016-08-23 21:51:23 |

TS Dundee registration perhaps (best estimate from the thumbnails) June 1904 to June 1932? 1924-1931 T-type 1 Ton |
