benny 2007-01-30 17:20	Maybe 1963 was added because was the first year. This would be a 1968 280 SL.
rpcm 2007-01-30 20:29	Yes, it's probably a false numberplate. Although the door mirrors are British items (not original M-B), the wheelcovers and the black rear view mirror identify it as a 1968 280SL. The stacked boot badge must be AUTOMATIC.
