not a '73 as the '73 had an egg-crate grille flush with the endura nose, and the stripes (although they and the rest of the car are the wrong colour - 1970-72 Trans Ams came in only either Cameo White with a Lucerne Blue stripe or vice versa, with a small firebird atop of the nose; there were 3 colours for the Trans Am in 1973 - Cameo White, Buccaneer Red or Brewster Green - all with either the famous redesigned full hood-bird, or the rare optional redesigned small bird atop of the nose, but this time without any stripes. A car without any birds may also have been available. In 1974 Brewster Green, which was not a very popular colour - but did appear in the John Wayne film McQ 1974 in which there was a very impressive Bullitt-style chase - was replaced by a very bold Admiralty Blue)

A very fast car, especially the 1970 Ram Air IV (366hp) and the rare Ram Air V (500hp) as well as the 1973 (and 1974) Super Duty 455 (310hp - 0-60 in 5.4 secs, 135mph). From what Ive seen of this film, though, Carradine doesn't drive this car to its full potential.

Trunk shot during the scene where he's trying to change the tire reveals the car was originally white.

It is a 1970 model; you can identify it from the seats. From 1971 firebird got high back support, intergraded headrest.

Nice car. Unfortunately gets destroyed when that one guy under the 1965 Ford Custom 500 Coupe shoots the driver, causing it to explode and the lady to fly out of the car.

Obviously they had at least two of these, one retains the towing mounts and the front spoiler is removed for clearance, white paint is visible underneath. In long shots one of the Trans Ams has slot mag wheels, I wonder if this is a third car they used for filming.
