Fuzzy, but it's a 505 in Peking. Pretty rare I think.

It would look much better once deinterlaced, but as I only have the jpeg-compressed picture it is still not perfect if I do it from the pic above.

In fact, from 1985 to 1997 around 100000 505 ( in Estate and Sedan forms ) and 504 pick-up were produced in China by Guangzhou Peugeot. It seems the 505 Estate was the most produced.

That's true it is a Guangzhou-Peugeot 505 SW or Tianyang GP 7222(the cars were renamed when j.v. with Peugeot has been finished).

Antoine, what are we going to do with these Chinese cars? Should we list them according to their joint-venture names like eg. "Guangzhou-Peugeot" or just simply put "Peugeot".

Depends how they were sold. Even when made by another company, they may carry the original make name.
Creating a large amount of new make due to join-ventures isn't especially a good thing I think, as that does not especially reflect the real name of the car, and separate the cars in the listings (e.g. this one will not be listed with the others 505 if we do not list it as Peugeot).
So if the car was not really sold with a different name, I would keep the original make name, even if it is known that it is built by another company. For example, some cars are built in Europe by NedCar in Netherlands, but are sill sold under their original make. I do not know if it is a good example, but for me we are making these Chinese/Asian cars more complicated than what they are in reality :D
