It's a real US Army bus,I want to say these were 1961 or 62 models? (Though most were larger. They used these as School Buses (Duh!) and as shuttles within the post) |

As Ford bus, a B-Series. B-500 if with the 156"/3.96 m wheelbase, B-600 if with the 198.5"/5.04 m (or the 222.5"/5.65 m) one. Elmer-you know trucks-I know school buses. The reason it doesn't resemble your brochure pic is, possibly, that an older body has been placed on a newer chassis. However there is no doubt that it is a Superior Coach.. I'll put a C-note on it. Although this is an International, you can see the same windshield and body ribs. The difference in the windshield wiper placement is because the bus above is a high-headroom model.. I'm far from knowing trucks, I just take time to identify them as best I can. But I also know that the way you usually "identify" most of the vehicles in the IMCDb hardly encourages me to follow up your proposals. "I said it just before and I agree strongly with myself". What an identification .gif ":)") Another one you "identified" without any source. As said in some other pages, this former identification could also be wrong, as bus bodies are rarely checked by admins before being validated. In other words, this other identification is as "valid" as the one of this page, for me. And as also said several times, I don't validate something I can't check, all the more when examples I find don't confirm the proposed identification. |

I looked for other examples other than the ones I posted. Couldn't find any. But I am not wrong. I know your feeling on words, but that's the best I can do at the moment until someone else can verify my correct id |
