External differences between 1949 and 1950 were minimal :somewhat larger rear window ,chrome strip on the centre of the hood,larger bumper overriders without chevrons and shorter belt molding at the rear in 1950 , all not visible here .With the two tone paint scheme I would go for a 1950 Statesman model 5048,this scheme being more frequently seen on the 1950 Statesmans.The Statesman replaced the 1949 600.It is one of the early American cars equipped with front seat belts.
