I do not know whether this was a must (I have not found any accurate documentary evidence), but in theory, additional repeaters have been installed on the front fenders, if light of car's direction indicators can not be seen from the side. It apparently did not concern such cars as the Mercedes in which the light of direction indicators is visible both from the front and from the side. |
