If it is in fact a Zil (and not a GAZ), then my guess is an early ZIL-4104.7 Pullman. They were offered from 1978, and got a facelift in 1986, which includedd wrap-around tail lights. 4104 series is both optical an technical close to predecessor ZIL-115 (swb: 117), but that car has other tail lights. The ZIL-4104 is quite huge. Standard 5-passenger 4104.1 is 575 cm long (wheelbase 330 cm)and 208,5 cm wide. It weights in with 3030kg empty. Power is by a 7.7 litre V8 of 315HP, later 400HP. The Pullman is 633 cm long, whith a wheelbase of 366 cm. There is a distinct possibility that the pictured car is GAZ-14 'Chaika'. I have no pic of it's rear, but it looks that it has another rear styling. |

Those kind of tail lights were common on 1967 ZIL 114(LWB 4-doors limousine,six-lights=side windows--body,7-seater),1971 117(SWB 5-doors Limousine,four-lights-body,5-seater)and 114 V(parade convertible,2-doors,5-seater) Going for exclusion,and given that car had four-lights(=side windows)body,guess will be the shorter 1971 ZIL 117 -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 22:44:13 |

I understand that ZIL-114 is the predecessor of the ZIL-115, that both cars are of the quoted lwb 4-door limousine type with six-light,7-passenger body, and that they just \"forgot\" to stop 114 production when 115 arrived? http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/9360/1967cazil1147p4dr6windojw7.jpg 1967+ ZIL-114 7passenger Limousine, 6 light, lwb I agree with a swb saloon rather than a limo. I\'m not really an expert on these cars, but when the pictured car indeed is a 1971 ZIL-117 (that means a swb 115), and the facelifted 4104 has wrap-around-headlights, where do these tail lights fit in, quoted as \"1971-85 ZIL-115\": http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/9295/197185zil115bn6.jpg Obviously, thes tail lights are newer than thos in the \"Casino Royale\" car. Were there two facelifts on the ZIL-115? |

Only one comment - and not really connected with the car - the plates are completely fake. Since this is supposed to be a location in Montenegro, the first two letters should resemble a city (PG = Podgorica, BD = Budva, etc.). But there aren't any plates starting with DT, because there is no such city! |

And the font is different. Could be the small version of the old German DIN-font. |

Probably. I just know that both the older and the new plates have a completely different font. |

It wasn't in Montenegro. The casino exterior was filmed at the old Kaiserbad Spa in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. ![]() |

And the characters talk about "Montenegro" as if it's a town. ![]() |

Well, the movie was filmed in the middle of the Serbia-Montenegro breakup. -- Last edit: 2017-11-07 14:16:51 |

DT is no real Serbian (or Montenegrian) plate. |
