International S-Series - Ward/AmTran Volunteer body Classification should be bus single-deck. School buses are yellow.. |

I agree with supcoach, these are called "Conventional Buses" from their origins, i don't think they were mainly made only for the school transportation use, as we know the conventional's can start their life in different types of use: school, workers, religious, law enforcement, etc...; and what do you think about this one When Bechtel company used to build the GME pipeline in Algeria in the mid of 1990's, they had brought with them some brand new GM Blue Bird Conventional's for the workers transport, and this some good examples: #1 (2006 and still in service, or even till nowadays but not by Bechtel) #2, #3 (recently spotted by a friend in a junkyard) #4 (rear view of the #3rd example). -- Last edit: 2016-05-17 20:32:13 |

Cool- It started life as a school bus, then someone cut off most of the body and made a tanker out of it. The bus above also started out life as a school bus as you can tell from the warning lights but now is a psychedelic hippie pad on wheels |

In this case, i think we better stick with the School Bus classification. |

I disagree as by definition a school bus is yellow (As I stated previously) and used primarily to transport students at least in the USa and Canada. Buses can be other colors for activity purposes but are usually lacking the 8-way warning light system. Yes the bus above has the system, probably disconnected after the school district sold it to whomever converted it... From Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_bus |

Regardless of our disagreement over its classification it is still an S-Series with a Ward/AmTran Volunteer body.. |
