You wouldn't if you had owned one. They were a rot box, mine went rusty quicker than my 1957 Vauxhall Victor, and that takes some doing!

I have not owned any French car since.

1982-83 R30. TX od TuroDiesel, I think it has flared fenders of "German" TX, but can't be sure of that with this pic.

:D I confirm, they had a bad reputation even here in Algeria but somehow there are still plenty of them being used by the fuel smugglers in western borders with Morocco, and this is what seems to be some of them, I spotted them in 12-07-2012 in Maghnia.
Anyway, it's a blind love story for me

Not all of them, some are really good and tough.

I shall never find out, no more French cars, ever. I haven't seen an R 20 or 30 on the road in Northern Europe for years, they weren't even strong enough to be used as chicken sheds.

Seriously, you saw all of them in one day in 2012? So Maghnia seems to be a heaven on earth ;) For some reasons, I also always loved these two,
but understand that owner/driver can have opposite feelings. I was only passenger - only once and as kid.

Yeaaa and believe me I skipped a lot of them :( without taking pictures! you will even have chances of seeing them doing some dangerous overtakes and stunts if you drive in the suburb roads of that region, it's kinda unsafe  , but as a car fan you will accept that :miam: , this is some other pictures I took of R20/R30's mostly in the same region (except the black one) in different occasions (And unfortunately I just realized that I lost some of their pictures) .

I know what is actually johnfromstaffs is thinking about French cars because of his old bad experience resulted from an unlucky choice, but you know... most if not all the auto manufactures around the world had failures in their history.

Thanks for sharing, nice to see them still "in action".
