Chrome side strip suggests a Daimler.

I don't think there's chrome here. It looks more like a reflection. Notice how parts of the bonnet are light too and how the chrome side strip disappears part way down the back door. If there's really one shouldn't it be visible more consistently?

@slon95: Is there more shots, maybe as the car goes away from the camera?

It looks too well aligned to be a reflection. XJ40s didn't have the groove that the Series III had along the side, did they?

But if you really insist, we could just go with "Jaguar XJ".

Tints, headrests, lots of window and mirror chrome - for a 1988 film before they mucked about with these details too much, I'd be happy with Daimler. Jag Sovereign would have twin coachlines so can be excluded.

Can't the coachlines be what we see here? I'm still not absolutely convinced it has a chrome side strip (not shiny enough or visible enough at the back).

As for the Sovereign coachlines, here's ones without coachlines (proving it's not a consistent or at least always well visible feature):

I don't think it's useful to sweep this one under the rug with a yet to be entirely convincing identification as the rarest and most expensive model until we see some more shots. Especially as it's two stars so there should be enough of an additional view to conclusively prove whether it has a side strip. For me, the shiny bit isn't shiny enough or consistent enough at this angle to make this a definite identification. I could be wrong, of course. Hopefully, slon95 will be able to help us.

And yes, G-MANN all XJ40s had a swage line along the side. Most modern cars do.

Thanks, even better than some extra thumbs. Doesn't help with regard to the chrome side bit but it has rear picnic tables which is a Daimler feature so it musyt have a chrome side strip and I was wrong about it being a reflection. Sorry for my mistake guys.
