Do they call them Volkswagen Pick-up in British market? Anyway, it is 1973-79. |

PUG 39xM series was August 73 issue, Leeds. 391M does not show on record, but sits within a batch of assorted VWs. This version seems to be the Wide Platform Pick-Up according to Glass's (alongside a normal Pick-Up and a Double Cab Pick-Up). |

I shall not doubt Glass' knowledge, there was a wooden platform pickup, may have been sold as Wide platform but also called Extended platform or even Enlarged platform. Five inches longer, eleven inches wider. This pickup has a normal size platform. |

OK - changed to a normal one. |

If you still don't see it you could look for the side panel lock in the corner of the cabin - so they are flush with the side of the cabin. Four sections (indentations) on the side panel. Studs for the tarpaulin as well as hinges where they are supposed to be. |
