It is Sturmpanzer IV 'Brummbär' (Sturmpanzer 43) Sd.Kfz.166 In this case, quite difficult to determine the manufacturer. It can be either Deutsche Eisenwerke (produced 166 units in 1944-1945) or Heereszeugamt Wien (produced 140 units in 1943-1944). http://www.achtungpanzer.com/sturmpanzer-iv-brummbar-sd-kfz-166.htm Link to "pro-tank.ru" We have 2 pics on the webside: 1) /vehicle_130077-Deutsche-Eisenwerke-Sturmpanzer-IV--Brummbar--1943.html It can be changed to 1944, because Deutsche Eisenwerke produced Brummbärs only from 1944; 2) /vehicle_549609-Nibelungenwerk-Sturmpanzer-IV--Brummbar--1943.html It should be said, that Nibelungenverk made only Panzer IV tank's chassis for Brummbärs. So in this case are two possible manufacturers - Deutsche Eisenwerke or Heereszeugamt Wien. |

its a short barrel panzer MkIV tank..the vehicle clearly has a turret and is not the brumbar..one can even see a crewman sitting inside one of the turret side access doors. |

Just some random question: The first time that i have seen that exact footage was in a documentary about Hitlers various diseases and illnesses. On this page its the second time. Is this really some rare stuff? Is it from major WW2 combat or is that minor stuff or even something completely different? Your comments seem to confirm that it is WW2 considering the year, but i find that a little bit strange... -- Last edit: 2016-05-02 18:08:41 |
