Long rear door = Silver Spur. Badge on the right of bootlid = at least a Spur II. Single tailpipe, no CHMSL on non US-model = not a Spur III 1990-93 Silver Spur II. |

From http://www.rrsilverspirit.com/models/1980Spirit.htm However Spurs seem to have had bootlid name plates before the Spur II: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C591512# http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C292750# /vehicle_25432-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Spur-1983.html /vehicle_807590-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Spur-1986.html So change to 1987 Silver Spur? -- Last edit: 2016-03-22 18:47:40 |

Later cars (Spur III+) definitely have twin tailpipes so that bit of the info is missing from the info (1980-86 one pipe on each side, 1987-93 one pipe on the right, 1994+ twin pipes on the right): Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" Link to "autophotosite.com" http://www.rrec.org.uk/Cars/images/spiritmulsanneimages/SS22.jpg http://www.rrec.org.uk/Cars/images/spiritmulsanneimages/SS21.jpg But will revert back to standard Silver Spur following comment RE the validity of bootlid badges. -- Last edit: 2016-03-22 19:01:07 |
