Iv got a '72 galaxie 500 sedan with an eggcrate grille so I dont think thats localized to customs. plus custom 500's were fleet type vehicles with post doors (sedan) these cars dont apear to have post doors and judjing by the sail pannel and the pointed rear windscreen in this picture http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4130/cap255fq6.jpg plus the eggcrate grille they look to be galaxie hardtops.
