smells GM but without the grille, hard to tell if GMC or Chevy.... Early 80's ? |

Clue is the side mirrors. |

Looks like 1983 or later GM based C/K-Series based on mannofnope's thumbnail ![]() |

Plate is 7VNP825. Maybe Slhc can help us out. -- Last edit: 2016-02-21 13:42:27 |

Fake plate. CA is up to "7R" at this moment. See www.licenseplates.cc for more info. |

It seems to have the 1981-87 slopped hood. But I don't understand what makes you see a 1983+ model in the thumbnail, rjluna2. |

The headlights. 1981-82 models either had stacked quads lights or dual headlights with just a single headlight over grill, the turn signal was behind the grill next to the headlight. From 1983 on, the duals headlights have a larger headlight on top of a smaller turn signal/parking light, like this one. 1981: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" 1983: Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" |

Thanks! It always become obvious with some explanations ![]() I focused on the quad headlamps models (Sierra & Silverado trim?) when I tried to compare the 1981-82 front faces to the 1983+ ones, and didn't pay attention to the others. Hence my incomprehension of rjluna2's clue. As the 1981+ hood is maybe not that obvious (I wrote "seems" in my previous comment on purpose), what about a 1980 model, then? I think it must be very similar, when seen in the dark, all the more if the grille is missing / invisible... ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2016-03-20 02:06:28 |

As you can see the thumbnail provided by mannofnope shows that the front fender is not so rounded from the previous generation. |
