A Bentley Mk VI Sports Saloon by James Young from the early fifties, I think.

I think this is 351 UXR - also here (apparently chassis B350NZ) because of the unusual stacked horn grilles and other matching details for lights. Seems only around 15 of these JY 2-doors made, and nearly all the others I can find pictures for do not have the stacked grilles. Also the dates in plate info are interesting in relation to film date.

If so, B350NZ supplied new to Mr F Stabler, original registration May 1952 RBB135. Subsequently 9052PE, APA299A. James Young design no C10BM. Same body fitted to 30 Mk VI and 3 R-type. Next chassis numerically, B352NZ also carried this coachwork. (The NZ Series were all even numbers.)

4566cc engine introduced at chassis B2MD, delivered 12/51, although cars with later chassis numbers were delivered before that date.

The first MkVI with this coachwork was B347GT, LLP136 delivered Dec 1950, the last was B493NY, NGH463, delivered Oct 1952. The last R-type was B322SR, NLN815, delivered in Apr 1953 to Mrs F Shand-Kydd, the mother of Diana, Princess of Wales.
