eLMeR ◊ 2016-02-14 07:25	If the long steel hood means apparently a 800, is there really clues in this picture to identify specifically the DM-885 SX model? What about a "standard" DM-800 ST (Six-wheel chassis Tractor)? (1982 DM-800ST specs sheet excerpt) ⇒ DM-800 ST as default identification?

Modeltrucks25thscale ◊ 2020-07-12 07:37	As a Big truck enthousiast I’ve got quite a large book collection about trucks and somehow this truck looked familiar so I looked it up. The actual truck is a DM-895SX and was delivered in quantity to the Israelian army in the late 70’s/early 80’s. Raji was quite close except for a different engine ( 85 which denotes a Mack 6 cylinder instead of the 95 which denotes a Mack V8 ). This truck is definately not an ST as the suspension is too light for transporting tanks. The designation SX was used for trucks with a rear suspension of roughly 55,000 lbs and up......regardless of being a tractor, dump truck or mixer.
