Possibly a "Commer" ambulance (UK)

While this looks a little like a BF Commer, I would suggest it is French or some other European make. Certainly not a Commer grille

No, the green one is on the other page, on the link that you gave.
So on this picture it is not a A35. But on the A35 picture there is the same white van than here.

Hi there, I'm new to this site.
The vehicle is either an austin or a morris. It is a LD. The london county council (lcc) fabricated thier own bodies for use in the london ambulance service between 1957ish and 1976ish. They are known affectionately as 'wandsworths' due to them being fabricated at the lcc workshop in the london borough of wandsworth. The other design difference is the rear chasis which was an allard de dion designed to lower the payload area and give more room for carrying patients. 'Wandsworths' appeared in many films and tv series in the 1970's

Hi all, just to add a bit to redbeard45 comment (above) The grill was taken from austin 1100 and incorporated into engine cover. the austin badge was usually attached. Later versions of the wandsworth had a fabricated morris grill (cant remember what model) and morris badge. There were, I believe, a morris grill similar to the picture above without a chrome/aluminimum surround and a version with.
