Who made the body for this crash tender conversion? It is not a Nubian DP1:  but certainly older and based on the Nubian truck:  -- Last edit: 2007-06-26 12:53:16 |

Fifty RAF Thornycroft Nubian 3 Ton 4x4 GS Trucks were converted into Nubian 4x4 Foam Crash Tenders (Mk.5?) in the years 1951 to 1953. However who carried out the conversions is not recorded on the RAF details of registration and from the data is is likely they were carried out under a number of separate contracts. |
