M35 (G742 model/chassis code) for sure. More doubts about the make, which can be:
• Reo (1950-?? models);
• Kaiser-Jeep (1963?-70 models);
• AM General (1971+ models).

Obviously neither the Kia version (KM250) nor the 1982+ Canadian version Bombardier MLVW (no roof racks visible).

Should we use the AM General model as default one?

being 1998 a good chance that it is an AM General

It doesn't mean a lot, as military vehicles are known and built to last. Even some more modern M35A3 are just refurbished and upgraded previous models :)

Since it is the Philippines, it would more than likely be the default American version.

Which make do you call "default American version"? AM General? If coming from the Korean or Vietnam war surpluses, that would make it exclusively a Reo or a Kaiser-Jeep...
