Citsa ◊ 2007-05-15 22:39	A bit of history on these "LCVs": When Daimler-Chrysler was still very much involved with Mitsubishi, they decided to start building and marketing these in ZA, but not as Mitsubishis, as other models (e.g. Pajero) had their own marketing channels in terms of the former Sigma setup. The Colt name was well-known and respected in ZA, as Mitsubishi Galants were first marketed here as Chrysler/ Dodge Colts and later as the Mitsubishi Colt Galant, hence the decision to market them as Colts. Only the three-diamond insignia identified them as Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi has now gone totally independent in ZA, and are marketing the Triton as replacement of the Colt/LCV.
