This is a cable car from San Francisco -- Last edit: 2007-02-08 00:47:53 |

This is not a cable car. There are no rails and there is no slot for the cable hook and it seems to have rubber wheels. I see no overhead wires or third rail. Its a motor tour bus of some sort. |

Hmm yeah it looks like they took a cable car body and put it on a truck chassis. I know they did that in Providence, RI and I think Boston, after they removed the rail lines so you still can see cable cars driving around. |

I knew that those cities had electric trolleys at one time but I didn't know they had cable cars. |

You mean which make? Good question... |

Yeah, this is like the custom Cadillac limos that mrcadillac keeps talking about. |
◊ 2007-02-08 17:57 |
Well, less custom than the Cadillac, as here we do not have any visible part from the original vehicle ![]() |

A little different - this one probably didn't start out as a recognizable car and probably doesn't have a VIN. |

Make a category for tour vehicles. I think the car is a Grumman. |

In 2015 we have categories for trolley buses ![]() |
◊ 2015-08-22 10:44 |
Sure, but it's for real trolleybuses. |
