This car is almost certainly the same as this one /vehicle_16677-Morris-Minor-1000-ADO59-1967.html used in the 1979 remake of The Plank. It has the struts for the roof rack still welded to the roof - an unusual arrangement because in The Plank, Roy Castle has to ride on the plank of wood lashed to the roof. The Plank was made by Thames Television, Rising Damp was made by ITC - both were closely associated ITV companies. |

Well spotted - the same car then 'RMC667E' - the number plate attached to the grille rather than bumper mounted also visible. |
