Why Avia? On main page you are writing that this episode was filmed in Netherlands and Italy. It most possibly is 1968+ Saviem or less likely MAN. In Italy they also had own version of it - the Alfa Romeo F/A-series, but I think it never had indicators of this type.

It looks like having the flared wheel arch of a SM (5 to 8), so if I'm not mistaken, it can't be an Alfa Romeo as the concerned trucks (A15n/A19n, A38n and F20n) were clones of the SG2, SG4 and SB2.
It could be a M.A.N. 5/7/8-Something indeed, but the commercial agreement with M.A.N. limited the sales to Austria and Germany (source: Le Saviem SG2 de mon père), although some of them apparently "appeared" in Netherlands (nl) after.

By the way, having round headlamps would make this truck a 1967 model: the new front face was unveiled in October 1966 (1967 model year), but the square headlamps came with the 1968 MY only. It would then be a S5 to S8 only (no SM -Saviem-M.A.N.- nor M.A.N small trucks before late 1967, i.e. the 1968 model year).
But the bezels of these round headlamps seem to be thiner than the ones visible in this page.

Hard to say that SM6/SM7/SM8 (visually) differed radically from each other. There are to find pics of SM6s already with wheelbase, which matches truck in movie, but hard to find any good pics of SM5 :/

@ Weasel1984:
Why not setting it as "just SM", then?

Perhaps, like for now, we can't identify it more exactly indeed. In the past I also listed few trucks of this range simply as "SM", but honestly I would prefer to distinguish somehow lighter SMs (like this one) from heavier ones (with bigger, squared cabs).

With the cab "name" as complement? "Light" models (SM5 to SM8) had the 822 cab (fr), while the SM10+ used the 860 one (fr).

It is good info, but as cab type-names were not used commercially, we would be unable to use it as anything clickable, but only as a sort of extra info and also placed the best in brackets. :( Except if we would agree to put it in the [chassis code] field. We have there various things, but wouldn't it be a bit strange anyway? And what, if some day we will be able to say something more detailed about saviems chassis? The field will be already filled.
