You do realize the show is set in 1983, right? |

In that case it hurts even more, destroying a car that is no longer produced. |

Like the Energizer bunny, Hollywood keeps going and going and.............until they're all gone. |

This car isn't destroyed, have a closer look. It's just decorated in that way. |

You're kidding, aren't you? |

Except for the door, which has got a massive dent. |

Dent? It's stove in. And notice the C pillar and damaged roof line. They have effectively trashed this car. Chalk up another one for Hollywood. -- Last edit: 2015-08-17 03:25:44 |

And that is not an `83 factory paint job. |

Ah yes, the kink in the roof. I haven't noticed that, just the door as only defect part. Questionable, if this car was demolished by the movie-maker -definitely not in this scene, the damages doesn't fit- of if they took a an accident-wreck from a junkyard. Here it smells like that. It looks, like the car was slipped and crashed into a concrete-pillar or so. Or -what we already have found in other movies- the roof was damaged by the rope, where it hung under the wreckers crane. Old Firebirds are not really expensive in Europe: Link to "suchen.mobile.de" |

They did much worse in many other movies. This Ponty looks to me as it was very tired even before such end. Think about the '58 Plymouth extermination in Christine and many other examples (I am still crying about a Mercedes 280 SE cabriolet in a very famous 2009 movie). In comparison this car looks to me litter. |

Why is it still 'unidentified', if everybody agrees it's Firebird? -- Last edit: 2015-08-21 17:51:34 |

I agree,it was already wrecked, damage more consistant with hitting a post/tree sideways.Might also be a later '80's/early 90s model? Wondering which bombing 'this' was supposed to be?? Ramstein/USAFE HQ late '81/early '82? One of the Rhein-Main bombings thru the years?? (There were several?) |
