This episode was about Australian-born serial killer, Christopher Wilder who was responsible for the murders of eight women throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah between the 26th February and 10th April 1984.

Wilder had received his first conviction at the age of 17 for taking part in the gang attack of a 13-year-old girl in Sydney, NSW on the 4th January 1963 for which he received probation.

As a result of this conviction, Wilder was named as a suspect by the NSW Police Homicide Squad in the unsolved murders of Marianne Schmidt and her friend, Christine Sharrock who were bashed and stabbed in the sand hills at Wanda Beach, Sydney, NSW on the afternoon of the 11th January 1965.

In 1968, Wilder got married only for his new wife to leave him after eight days, by 1969, Wilder left Australia for the United States.

While in the US from 1971 to 1975, Wilder was charged with multiple counts of the sexual assault but was never convicted.

Wilder later returned to Australia in 1982 to visit his parents in Sydney, while in Australia, Wilder was charged with the sexual assaults of two 15-year-old girls, he was later released on bail and was allowed to return to the US.

Wilder was later shot and killed during a struggle with New Hampshire State Police Officers, Leo Jellison and Wayne Fortier outside the Vic's Getty Service Station at the intersection of Main Street and Bridge Street in Colebrook, New Hampshire on the 13th April 1984.
