No later than 1982 by lack of wrap around turn signals.

I loved these when I was a kid. By the time I was old enough enough to drive (1996) they were already getting rare. I cannot believe how these cars have completely vanished.

There are two, both silver 5-door versions, parked in the same driveway outside of Orangeburg, SC. They obviously belong to some sort of enthusiast, so I don't know if they're for sale, but I'm sure I could find the address if anyone is curious.

Probably turbo versions. That was a popular color for them, and thats the most likely version an enthusiast would own.Chances are, at least 1 is a parts car, if not both.
The last time I saw a Colt like this in person stateside(it might have been a Plymouth Champ) was 13-15 years ago in Taylor, MI.
It was a brown one, pretty basic looking. A lady was driving it down the road.
The last one I saw in person anywhere was in the southern Philippines in 2009. It was a customized red 4-door, and of course, i didnt have my camera on. when I re-visited in 2014 there was no sign of that car.

Except the Turbo model on came in the 3-door bodystyle.

I guess youre right. For some reason,I thought they made 5-door turbos.

Is this one of them? The architecture looks like something from that region: Link to "japanesenostalgiccar.com"

This thumbnail shows the 1981-82 grille. With the main pic, it looks fully bright, so a Plymouth Champ. The 1981-82 Colt only had bright on the top and bottom of the grille and black in the middle.
