It's been completely stripped of trim and repainted. From the thumbnail showing the open tailgate we can see it was originally red. I don't think it was a Ranch Wagon; those had bodycolor pillars. This wagon has the the chrome pillars and fender top ornaments of a Country Sedan or Country Squire. The grille with the central ornament is from a Country Squire. Is the interior ever shown? The upholstery could solve it. |

I didn't capture any of the interior, just the open tailgate. Cheryl Ladd was riding on top of it fighting with the driver, so there may have been closeup shots of the interior. |

Excluding Country Squire...the full-size wagon choices in 1962 were either a Ranch Wagon or a Country Sedan |

There most definitely was a Country Squire in 1962. Link to "oldcarbrochures.org" |

Here's what they show of the interior: Which looks like a split-folding rear seat of the Country Squire. -- Last edit: 2015-06-23 21:12:52 |

^Thanks, night cub. That view definitely rules out Ranch Wagon. The split folding second row was only on 9-passenger wagons and the Ranch Wagon was 6-passenger only. The wide pleats in the seat confirm my suspicion that it is a deforested Country Squire. -- Last edit: 2015-06-23 21:23:27 |

CougarTim....I know there was a Country Squire...I was excluding it because I thought that all Country Squires had fake wood on the sides...You misread what I said... Also...Why could this not be a Country Sedan, which according to my sources came in both 6 and 9 passenger versions?? -- Last edit: 2015-06-24 00:42:55 |

I'm not the person who questioned that |

I know I fixed it |

supcoach - if you look at the Ford brochure, you will see under Country Squire Standard Equipment "Richly pleated seat fabrics, door trims and side trim panels", this was exclusive to the Country Squire, that is what Tim is referring to. |

I see what you mean. It has these bright trim around the doorframe/windowframe. |

There's more to being a Country Squire than having wood sides. You have to look at the whole picture. 1. This car has no side trim AT ALL. Even the Ranch Wagon had a strip of trim, so whatever trim existed has been removed. As I pointed out in my first post, we have clear evidence it has been repainted. 2. The only wagon that used the grille with the central ornament was the Country Squire. 3. The upholstery on this car is Country Squire upholstery. |

Thank you for the clarification |
