The Voyager is not an SUV nor is it 4x4. It's a mini-van.

My famliy had one of these. They aren't that reliable. I'm just shocked that it didnt get crushed by that plane that destroyed the whole neighborhood around it.

This is more like a '92 or a '93, the '94 had a different front bumper.

could be.. the color im not sure about.. i have a 94 shortbase base model and mines the teal color... this is quite a light blue... maybe its just a mut lol...

I think since this van was the regular wheelbase it had the 3.0 Mitsubishi V6 but I agree with you about the balls lol

First post on here but I must say (And I would know) that this van is a 93. It has the 91-93 dashboard and the 93-95 exterior plastic door handles. The 84-92 had the square chrome door handles. I'm still unsure what engine is in it though but I believe it is the 3.0

Actually, the 1991-1995 Plymouth Voyager, Chrysler Town&Country, and the Dodge Caravan shared the same platform, the Chrysler AS platform. The Dodge caravan was available with front-wheel-drive, or All-wheel drive. This may have contributed to the confusion as to labeling it as an SUV.-(Source: Dodge Caravan-Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

It's not a 3.0L V6,it's a 2.5L 4 cyl,heres how I know,the air intake(houses the air cleaner)is shown on the van's first scene when the hood is opened... ;)

In which case, it definitely had balls. :D

The old Chrysler 2.2/2.5 was a pretty touch series of engines, especially the turbo variants.

This is a 1993  , 1984-1992 models had chrome door handles, 1993-1995 models had black ones, and this van has the 1991-1993 hubcaps, dash, and black door handles.

Wood body work looks good on some vehicles. No so sure its right for a minivan like above. The Ford Flex has purposeful body panels that evoke wood body work without actually using wood. So that style is still used in automotive design.

Ingo DE

@Neptune: it's a matter of taste ;) For me there is nearly no other extra feature of cars, which is so extreme useless and which makes such a painful sight of pure plastic-fake as these false wood-looking tape. Everyone knows, that it's plastic, but it's still in wooden optic - odd as nothing else.
And your last sentence could be reduced to "still used in US automotive design" :o In Europe, Asia, South America or Australia noone has a faible for it. Just some wood-appications in the dashboard are sometimes placed, but not on the outside.

The ancient British "Woddies" as the Morris Minor Traveller are not in this category, as their bodywork, at least the back, was indeed wooden made.

Really still used? I''ve thought it was ended in mid 90's with GM fullsize station wagons.

I have seen a Ford Flex with the faux wood but I assumed they were all aftermarket Like this one

however I do know that the 2002-2004 Jeep Liberty (and Cherokee outside of N.A.) had a Wagoneer option that included faux wood paneling and 'Wagoneer" badging:

Neptune US

They would be aftermarket add-ons. The Flex doesn’t come with faux wood from the factory. The door panels on the Flex are ribbed to call to mind the woody look of old station wagons.

Neptune US

2011-04-11 23:04

Well, that’s what the Flex’s chief design engineer (can’t remember his name at the moment) intended those lines to represent. I didn’t really get that, until I read an article on the Flex and its design elements.

It looks a bit like MINI designed that car.

That wood-panelled Jeep Liberty looks pretty bad, it almost seems like a joke (because basically wood-panelling is a very dated styling feature)

ingo wrote For me there is nearly no other extra feature of cars, which is so extreme useless and which makes such a painful sight of pure plastic-fake as these false wood-looking tape.

Even if it was real wood, why would you really want wood panels stuck onto your car's bodywork? Wood should be on the inside of a car, not the outside.

It favors the MINI with the white roof yes, but you don’t have to get the white, which is purely optional, it normally has a body colored roof. I think it can be ordered with a black roof, but don’t quote me on that. I prefer the white roof though.

G-MANN UK

Because decades ago station wagons had wooden bodywork..and later faux wood panels, which resemble that bodywork were item of top-of-the-line models....

Previous entry in that contest was 1993 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which was Grand Cherokee with fux wood paneling.

They really had a nostalgia about old SJ Wagoneer.

Why does this one work because the solenoids were changed? Thats basically to say that the emp only fused fitted parts, and not spare one. Watch out for that massive plot hole....
