| Sherman M4A1 version with M1A1C 76mm gun..3,396 built by Pressed Steel from January 1944-June 1945..this version has pre-mid 1944 suspension..later ones have the mid 1944 HVSS suspension.The main difference between the regular 76mm gun and the M1A1C is the M1A1C has a muzzle brake fitted to the end..if the tank in the pic didnt have this muzzle brake then it would be a regular standard production M4A1 Sherman of which 6,281 were built...but the muzzle brake makes the difference. |
