Then the commentary is not worth the paper it's not printed upon. 1946 Austin Sixteen. The first Austin passenger car with an overhead valve engine. IIRC it had a 2.2 litre engine of 67bhp which was four cylinders' worth of the six cylinder truck engine. Waste not want not. The same body was used for the Twelve, with a flathead engine dating back to 1932 and producing all of 40 bhp, but the main picture looks to be a valve in head model. -- Last edit: 2015-06-01 10:40:06 |
