1968+ because of the grille and bigger hubcaps. W 108 because of the short body and not enough bling. To me there's no visible differences between the S and the SE (apart from the badge and the engine if able to look under the hood/bonnet). I'll be interested to know if there's anything I've overlooked. When 1968+ it should be a 280 S or 280 SE, possibly with a suffix. I met this car in an old car gathering. I think it was a 1969 model, but I'm not totally sure and I didn't take pictures to confirm this. According to the owner, it was also featured in "L'immortel" ( /vehicle_299227-Mercedes-Benz-280-SE-W108-1968.html , apparently repainted and other headlamps but same license plate), "Mon père Francis le Belge" and "Mal de Pierres" |
