Multi-role. By the way, can this be its rear end? |

(Don't forget to tell me for its tail.) It's the 48-50 range, right? A way to know the exact MY? |

It could be the thumbnail (and the main pic? I can't decide) shows a 49 Clipper 4-dr Limousine. |

From what I can find out, this must be a 1949-50 Custom Eight due to the trim surrounding the bootlid. I'll wait for Commander 57 to confirm. -- Last edit: 2015-03-14 11:20:02 |

Correct, Lateef. Custom Eight for the reason you stated. One cannot used the eggcrate grille because unlike in '48-early '49 (Twenty-Second Series), the Super Deluxe Eight also used this grille. Late '49-'50 (Twenty-Third series) owing to solid chrome bumper, center mounted side spear and taillamp style. (BTY, the Clipper name was not used for the 1948-1952 model year period.) -- Last edit: 2015-03-14 14:35:50 |
