Converted from a seven-passenger touring car and fitted with a Merryweather steam pump off a horse-drawn apparatus. Perhaps call it a 1907 Custom Made Fire Engine based on Gobron-Brillié 7-Passenger Touring Car?

Reg-AA608.Vehicle also features on the Movie poster of the film despite the fact the star of the film is a Leyland fire engine.

AA 608 = RED 1954 :??: GOBRON-BRILLIE UNKNOWN FIRE ENGINE. AA plates issued Dec 1903 to Oct 1917 so 1907 date looks correct

Difficult to identify best phrasing for ID. I think it's worth having Gobron-Brillié as make, so entered with "7-Passenger Touring Car" and converted into fire-engine as extra info, but classed as fire engine. That should give best chance for retrieval/cross-referencing etc. I assume it was not converted by G-B - maybe the 1954 plate info date suggests when it was done??

"This vehicle has had a long and varied life. It was originally a seven-seater touring car, running on pneumatic tyres. Later it was converted into an estate fire engine and fitted with a Merryweather steam fire pump from an old horse-drawn fire engine. Both boiler and engine are in working order and regularly operated at rallies. It has an opposed piston engine: 4 cylinders – 8 pistons!" from Link to "www.beaulieu.co.uk"
