Renault, probably.
And Charles Boyer for sure.

A Renault with Vauxhall flutes along the bonnet?

Merci, John.

I added this [DY/DX] châssis ref. Is it all right for it?

Yes, DY 1530 cc, DX 1781 cc, but same sheet metal. Never among my favourite cars, 1930s Vauxhalls sold well, but were not very long lasting and by the fifties when I was starting to know what I was looking at, those that were left were very scruffy. I think that you got a lot of car for your money, with the inevitable loss of quality that follows.
