I think I may have finally found out that they were in fact attempting to replicate an actual 1936 Mercedes vehicle with this thing:![]() The basic shape of it plus the Mercedes hood ornament are too much of a coincidence to overlook. It's even got the driver's-side-only windshield wiper! Although this body type appears to have been more used by Horch, it seems Mercedes did in fact make cars like this in the 30's, the Mercedes-Benz G5. So I am now listing it (and the others) as "Made-for-Movie Mercedes G5." |
