The CL-9000 would of never of been available in 1976, If you wanted a Ford Cabover at that point and time back in 1976, You would of ended buying a Ford WT-9000, Like the Blue Mule from White Line Fever, The CL-9000 was only thought of in 1977 and released in 1978, After 1976 and on January 6, 1977, The CL-9000 came onto production lines, At that time when the CL-9000 came on the Production Lines, The last WT-9000 Made, before the WT-9000 was taken out of Production was on January 5, 1977, On January 6, 1977, The CL-9000's completely took over, The CL-9000 Prototype's went into thought on July 18, 1976 and the first Prototype was completely together and on September 12, 1976, Three more Prototype's were also built before 1976 ended and were titled as Early 1977 Model's, Making Appearance's at Truck Show's to advertise for the new CL-9000 Model, They went onto the Assembly line on January 6, 1977 and Any CL-9000 Built before June 1, 1977 was titled as a 1977, but, very few, just like the WT-9000's, A 1977 Ford WT-9000 is a hard find now a day's, This at this very oldest this truck can is a 1977, But, even back in 1994 or 1995 when this episode was filmed, A 1977 Ford CL-9000 would of been been a rare find, seeing, there wasn't to many made and for one's would of been left to exist at that time, Private Collectors & Museum's would of been Collecting them and keeping in a Collection, So, I would dare say the newest this truck would be of been a 1978, But, on the 1980 Model Titled Trucks, The Blue Oval Started to be the Symbol put onto them, Back for the 1977, 1978 and 1979 Model Titled CL-9000's, They didn't have a Blue Oval as the Ford Symbol and this Truck has a Blue Oval as a Ford Symbol on it, Another thing about this truck, is This Truck has a Breather Tube by the Exhaust Stack, and doesn't have the big two air horns, When the CL-9000 came out in 1977, It was a top of the line truck that was a head of it's time, so, when the 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980 Model's were being made, To buy a CL-9000 would of been pretty expensive back than, So, Fleets really didn't Start buying them until the 1981 Model's were out, When the price's went down a little bit on them after they remodeled the LTL-9000, Without the two big air horns, The Truck you see here was probably a Former Fleet Truck, Even though the two small air horn's came out with the 1977 Titled Modeled Trucks, The Breather Tube's by the Exhaust Stack didn't come out on the CL-9000's until the 1981 Model Titled Trucks came out, So, What I am trying to say, is the very oldest this truck can be a is a 1981 Tilted Model Truck
