Although rear badges are blurred in inset, I think they say Jaguar Sovereign, and grille in main has V12 badge. So 1984+ Jaguar Sovereign HE.

Notice this has a chrome strip with a paint stripe below it. By the way, the Series III XJ12 and XJ6 had the same grille (only the Series I and II had V badges), although the XJ12 might have had a gold badge (this is just a guess though). In the inset picture, there is no V12 or H.E. badge

But note difference from central grille bar badge here and the definitely V12 Sovereign at /vehicle_190151-Jaguar-Sovereign-V12-Series-III-1989.html . It may not be the sequence I expected, but there are definite processes at work.

I don't think that other picture is clear enough to tell anything for sure. There is no badge on the central grille bar here, that's just the shaping of the central bar seen from a sideways angle (it's not a 'V'). Series III Jags all had the same grille (except for Daimlers which had fluted grilles)
