Made by Clement Talbot Ltd, Barlby Road, Kensington, West London. Company commenced in 1902, bought out of a poor financial state by Rootes Group in January 1935. The conglomerate company Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq made some good cars before the Rootes takeover, but no money. After the takeover things were completely different, money was made, but the cars tended towards the grey porridge end of the market, becoming badge engineered Humbers, with stodgy engineering typical of Rootes and their multiple use of assemblies philosophy replacing the much more exciting Georges Roesch designs. Who is to say which was right?

Looks identical. DVLA says GR 369
✗ Untaxed Tax due: 01 December 2011
✗ No MOT Expired: 14 December 2012
Vehicle make :TALBOT
Date of first registration :02 December 1983
Year of manufacture :1932
Cylinder capacity (cc) :2969cc
Export marker : No
Vehicle status : Not taxed
Vehicle colour :BEIGE

.... but German plate in link suggests should have DVLA export marker. Entered as 105 AV.

Link to "www.ispolson.com"

Suggest that it should be entered as AV105.

Should we rename the other 105s as well to keep them all together or are some different??

My point was that the acknowledged marque expert refers to AV105 rather than 105AV.

I'm sorry I can't help more in respect of whether these cars are of different design, Talbot's downfall seems to have been partly due to a plethora of different models.

Yes - point accepted. But did not want to create additional new-within-imcdb model unless it is confirmable as different from others.

In that case, to avoid nugatory work, stet.
