Since 1991(practically was the Europeized version of 1990 Isuzu MU),seems built in Spain into Zaragoza's plants of GM Espana for count of Opel(and Vauxhall;that sold the same in UK under own Brand)

The Frontera (both Opel and Vauxhall) were I believe only built in the UK or do you have information they could have been built in Spain? The production volumes were quite low and two European assembly plants is unlikely. IBC [UT2] was the Frontera Sport (2-door) and [UT4] the four-door version.

They were first produced by IBC (Izuzu Bedford Commercials/Company) a joint-venture between Izuzu and GM at Luton in the old Bedford van plant. Later production was moved to Ellsemere Port near Liverpool when the Izuzu part of IBC was bought-out by GM. The vehicles were based on Izuzu products but areas were re-engineered at Luton by IBC engineers, to increase the local content.

Info albeit from the UK

Quote APR 1995 Revised range launched in UK. 2.0i Sport and Sport S (low emission engine, 115 bhp), 2.2i 16v Estate (136 bhp), 2.8 TD Sport, Sport S and Estate (113 bhp), all models have uprated disc brakes (optional anti-lock), improved suspension with gas shock absorbers, larger 16" alloy wheels, central locking, immobiliser, new interior and trim.

This car has the 16" Alloy wheels as the smaller old design looked like the ones here: /vehicle_316205-Vauxhall-Frontera-UT4-1991.html

1995-97 therefore.

Sandie, good info, I am not as familiar with the UK/EU versions as I am with the US versions which is why I hesitated to list a year range on this one until I checked the brochures in my collection for the year to year changes. Interesting though is that both styles of wheels (on this page and in your link) were available before 1995 here in the US on both the Passport, Rodeo and Amigo. The rims in the link are called "Snowflake" and were available in the 15 inch variation on 1989-92 Amigos and then the same wheels were enlarged to 16inch for the Rodeo/Passport and the 93-94 Amigo

Also my info has start date as October 1991 so maybe 1992 MY?

I know the Isuzu version came out for the 1991 model year (1990 in Japan) but I am not sure if the Vauxhall version waited a year or not before being released. In my brochure collection I have both an early Vauxhall Frontera and an early Opel Frontera (from Germany) brochure, but it seems that brochures in Europe (at least the ones I have) shy away from listing model years, all I have is the copywright date of the brochure (1990) but that really doesn't mean anything.

Why? First three letters SED = General Motors Luton Plant.
