Yes andrepa it looks as if I was on the right track but you got it. I think the photo is 'made up'. The man is Bruno Lawrence, the star of the movie, in his supposed earlier career as an international driver. The original probably had Bruce McLaren's head on it.

I knew one person who might have been able to confirm it was Eoin Young, who worked with McLaren in the 1960s and was living here in Christchurch in retirement but died only a few weeks ago.
