At least 4 or 5 are visible in the warehouse:

Cool pictures, but what a waste of such a fantastic car as an Citroën SM!!!

They seem to destroy only one actually (but maybe several were used for the scene). The director of the movie seems to like them, since there are few of them in the warehouse between Ferraris and other luxury cars, and there was already one in the previous movie: /vehicle_5769-Citroen-SM.html

There is also a "Citroën" plate on the wall of the wharehouse:

Citroën was for sale in the USA untill the mid-seventies. They kept garages for service untill 1984 in LA and New York. But they never had any wide spread dealer network, so it had to be quite a challenge to gather all those cars and the sign of course.

It is 'funny' to see in some movies when directors try to create a european scene, they always use the ds, 2cv and sm, and of course the 505, 405 and Renault american cars. But it is always easy to tell that the real location is the USA, since all the cars look very different due to US regulations. For example, wider bumpers, double headlights.

I've read that about 50% of the SM produced were for US marked, so I guess it is not more difficult to find one in the US than in France? By the way, here on the site we have more of them in American movies than European movies :D

Perhaps, but they make more movies in the US than they do in France, so the chances for a car being in a movie is much higher in the US.... (sad enough, because I like French cars a lot more than US cars). :(

You could be right though that it is more easy to find one in the US than in France, for the SM certainly. For other French cars of that age I don't know.

It was probably the worst automotive rubbish ever unleashed on mankind, even worse than the atrocious and ugly DS.

I won't. But someone please explain to me what is great about these very occasionally rolling disaster areas Citroen had the audacity to unleash onto the uninspiring motorist? They are hideously ugly and make one seasick as soon as they are in motion, which they are actually quite rarely because most of the time they are either in the workshop, or sitting on the hard shoulder with one of their numerous fluids polluting the surrounding area.

Bon...

junkman, don't get me wrong - I accept your opinion, as probably most members here as very respectable. I just would like to ask you, is it really necessary to provoke others with this style of reply? I mean OK, you don't like it, you don't like DS, it is your opinion, but you probably noticed, that most members here like these cars, so why offend the car they like in such a way? It suits to 14 y.o. boy, but not to a guy like you I think..
But that is only my opinion..

Unfortunately - both. I then had the masochism to buy a new CX.

I know what a DS is, but Ive never driven one. I think one of the most facinating items about the DS is it does not come with a jack, correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt the DS have the ability to lift a flat tire off the road and stand balanced on 3 wheels?

Well, it comes with a spare wheel, and it is probably better to use that one rather than drive on 3 wheels. But you can remove one of the rear wheels: /vehicle_19681-Citroen-DS-19.html

The part where they crashed all of those Citroens was the dumbest crash sequence in movie history. And offensive too!
