Probably a Ford. |

I don't recall seeing any fullsize Ford wagon with the side trim between both arches. Usually it's above the rear arch, extending all the way to the taillight. I think this is a Mercury. |

Only full-size wagon was in the Marquis line. So either a Mercury Marquis wagon or a Mercury Marquis Colony Park wagon. |

Would have to be a '74 - '78 then, '73 had side trim similar to Ford. Could be a Colony Park with the fake wood and surrounding trim removed. -- Last edit: 2014-10-16 21:16:58 |

It certainly is not a Mercury; wrong sheet metal. The side molding is unusual; but the rocker panel moldings rule out everything but an LTD wagon. This might have been part of a fleet order which would also explain the hub-caps instead of standard wheel covers. Making it a 77/78 model as a number of otherwise stand trim details became delete options after the Ranch wagon was dropped. |

With the ultra base dog dish caps. It's a Ford Custom 500 Ranch Wagon |

somename...small quantities of Ranch Wagons were produced strictly for fleet buyers through 1977, after which the name was retired...According to other sources 1,406 were produced for the 1977 model year.... |

^I'm under the impression that the 77 and the 1,196 Ranch Wagons produced in 1978 are strictly for the Canadian market. -- Last edit: 2015-06-01 03:57:00 |
