More likely a Bristol K. Edit after some research: - 1936 Bristol J with Gardner 4LK engine, I recall reading somewhere that Eastern National always tried engines that were one cylinder smaller than everyone else, due to the flat terrain in their area. This must have been a very slow bus with a 4LK heaving a heavyweight chassis normally powered by a 5LW. Eastern National Omnibus Company No LJ19 Registration No AVF 369, Eastern Counties Coachwork, Bus 35 seat front entrance. Eastern National was a Tilling Group company, hence the Bristol chassis and ECW coachwork. Must be losing it, the K was a double decker! -- Last edit: 2014-09-01 12:56:38 |
