Fatih or BMC Fatih ? |

I have no idea, but I have only found BMC Fatih... |

My truck encyclopedia lists this model under BMC and on a manufacturers website it is called "BMC Fatih 100". |

Kamyon in Turkish means "truck", not a certain model. At the risk of repeating myself... http://www.seslisozluk.com/?word=kamyon&go_search=Search (dictionary) For a bit of company history take a look here: http://www.bmc.com.tr/eng_tarihce.asp It seems to me that "Fatih" was just the name for a truck family and the company itself bears the BMC name. -- Last edit: 2006-12-14 01:10:13 |

And the Levend pick-up appears to be based on the Sherpa. http://www.bmc.com.tr/eng_levend_60_pickup.asp I wonder if they made Sherpa vans as well before the current Megastar van came along. |

BMC (manufacturer) Fatih 162.25 (type) After a little image manipulation with the pic of the sign on the door - unsharp masking - this is my "educated guess". -- Last edit: 2006-12-15 08:20:27 |

Fatih models were produced from 1985, using the Leyland Redline G cab and Cummins turbocharged diesel engines. There were four models from 17 to 27-tons gross weight. |
