Didn't Ford have a different name for they're truck line back then? I thought the F-Series only applied to '48 and later trucks. |

The F-Series name started in 1948 indeed, and there is apparently no name for this 1942-47 truck line. The wheel rims indicate a heavy-duty model: either a 1½-ton or a 2-ton model. No chrome could be the clue of a late 1942 to 1945 war-time truck. Or just of a model which has been repainted sometimes in its 40-year life... (1946 -or 1947?- brochure cover) |
