It can't be 1966-1970. The Transit didn't go on sale in Australia until 1972. |

Regardless, it's a 1966-70 model. The 1971+ models had a different front end. However, seeing that the grille sheetmetal is in white as opposed to red, it could be that it is indeed a 1972+ model with an older replacement grille. -- Last edit: 2014-07-26 15:29:14 |

Correction: the Transit didn't go on sale in 1972 in Australia like I originally thought, but was available in the 1960s. As such, the year should be changed from 1972 to whatever it was before it was changed. These ones too: /vehicle.php?id=684284 /vehicle_163993-Ford-Transit-1972.html |

I think stick with 1972 for the moment - all 3 entries have non-UK front paint treatment so I think are Aus-made. The best date would be whenever Aus assembly started, which is still unknown. We don't have any Aus-made Transits with the 71+ UK/D grille, so maybe it didn't happen for Aus?? |
